It depends on the type of tag. You can try NFC Tools or the MiFare Classic Tool to emulate cards from your phone, but in my experience it's too limited After researching about Mifare (Classic) card emulation on Android devices I've found information that says that it's not possible on older Android versions (e.g. Why doesn't Android HCE support Mifare Classic type? or Emulate Mifare card with Android 4.4). Is this still the case on Android 10? I have installed several "NFC tools" apps, and I am able to read a NFC door card. It seems to be able to duplicate it (when I'll have a blank NFC card) or even write new NFC tags. But I'd like to do something else:
I tried using the android Mifare app as well. No luck even after using cards that claimed to be "block0 writable using phone". I then just purchased a rfid copier (13.56mhz) on ebay~USD. And was able to copy my card by just pressing buttons, no code needed.I have been able to fully emulate a Mifare Classic card using hidden functions in the android_external_libnfc-nxp library. Though i could only read the card and for it to be useful you need access to the Secure Element where a applet by NXP exists in most cases, this applet servers as front-end for managing the emulated cards.
I'm trying to read and write with an android app an mifare desfire card (classic works already) but don't know how it works :). I know it has something to do with transceive (byte []) which is responsible for communicating through raw bytes but how does it work in detail?

The HID Prox system operates at a carrier frequency of 125 kHz. NFC operates .The problem is the version of cards that most hotels and places like that use are not compatible with the NFC reader/writer that most android phones have.
