I have a usb smartcard reader but haven't had much luck finding open source software.No special instructions are required; simply insert the SmartMedia card into the Advance Movie Adapter and perform a normal/automatic dump as if it were an ordinary cartridge. The ID can then manually be extracted with a hex editor. I'm looking to get into manipulating a smart card that I have (no, not doing anything illegal or satellite-related.just exploring). BusyBox itself has more than one implementation. od [Coreutils] od [BusyBox] od [uutils] I record a lot of data but since there's only one line for command and response, I get a load of hex data with no boundary in between. Is there any tool that can take that hex dump and parse it into commands and responses and also tell .My first question is whether the hex file generated by the K150 is compatible with existing software. If so, I need a PIC a simulator which allows two things: 1) Simulate a 4 x 4 switch matrix (4 output pins, 4 input pins).

The USB card reader data clearly shows the first sector of the "drive" (partiton)- which is not sector 0 (zero). Some hex editors can show your the MBR if started as an admin - but you must use the correct physical device, which has no drive letter.
